There are lots of ways that you can play an active role in making Woodstock more sustainable and climate friendly.
Community Orchard volunteering
No skills or knowledge required, just come along to one of our fun volunteer days and lend a hand! Stay as long as you want to. Tasks are seasonal but could involve mulching fruit trees, raking, removing Old Man’s Beard (a wild clematis!), pulling up ragwort, and of course, watering.
You will usually need:
Garden gloves – bring your own or we usually have spare
Safety glasses – bring your own or we usually have spare
Refreshments – bring your own if you prefer but we usually have enough coffee, tea and biscuits to go around.

Litter picking
Our “Litter Heroes” blitz the local highways and byways at least once a year. You will need wellies or robust shoes and seasonal clothing. We supply litter pickers, bags, hi-vis gear and gloves, although you may prefer to use your own. Get in touch to be added to the volunteer email list.
